Drunken Man Arrested with Shorts Around His Ankles After Passing Out in a Stillwater Home

A 25-year-old Sioux Falls man was arrested Saturday morning after he passed out in the porch of a Stillwater home with his shorts around his ankles. The man was cited for disorderly conduct and trespassing.

A 25-year-old Sioux Falls man was arrested Saturday morning after a Stillwater homeowner awoke to a stranger sitting in his porch with his shorts around his ankles.

Stillwater police were called to the 900 block of Laurel Street West at about 7 a.m. Saturday for a report of a man who was sitting in a chair of the homeowner’s enclosed porch. The homeowner told police he did not know the man, invite him into his home or know how long he had been there.

When police arrived, the officer found Kyle Hurd passed out in a seated position with his shorts pulled down around his ankles. Hurd was wearing boxers.

As the officer awoke Hurd to remove him from the home, Hurd reportedly became belligerent and asked the officer β€œif I knew he was,” the report states.

Hurd was cited for disorderly conduct, trespassing and resisting arrest without force.
