Drunken Wisconsin Man Spends His 21st Birthday in Jail
After being thrown out of Rafters for fighting early Tuesday morning, a Wisconsin man allegedly refused police orders to walk away and go home with his girlfriend, so he spent his 21st birthday in the slammer.

While on routine patrol just after midnight on Tuesday, a Stillwater police officer saw two men getting thrown out the back entrance of Rafters.
As one man started to walk away, Tyler Jay Robinson, 21, of Somerset, Wis., started to run after him, a police report states. The officer then saw Robinsonβs girlfriend come running out of the bar and almost tackle the 21-year-old in an attempt to restrain him.

Robinson looked βextremely intoxicated,β the report states. The officer noted he could hardly stand up and had very slurred speech.
Robinsonβs girlfriendβwho was the sober cab for the night since it was his 21st birthdayβtold police she would take him home.

The officer told Robinson to start walking and go home with his girlfriend, when he turned and replied, βreally?β The officer proceeded to tell the drunken 21-year-old if there wasnβt a problem and he didnβt need help, he should just get in the car and go home, the report states.
Robinson allegedly replied, βitβs going to be like this, huh?β
As his girlfriend tried coaxing Robinson into her car, he allegedly took an aggressive stance as he stepped forward as if he was going to start a fight with the officer.
At that point the officer reportedly shoved Robinson back to create separation, the report states. In doing so, Robinson lost his balance, started to backpedal about 15 feet and fell backwards into a wooden bench.
The officer then handcuffed Robinson and placed him under arrest. During the entire ordeal, Robinsonβs girlfriend was reportedly βpleading to Robinson that he should listen to the officer.β
Robinsonβs preliminary breath test resulted in a .179 reading, according to police. He was taken to jail and held on charges of disorderly conduct and obstructing the legal process with force.
