Meet the dog Ruby, star of "Ruby's Tale" at the Rosalie E. Wahl Library in Lake Elmo

Ruby, a dog that is the star of “Ruby’s Tale” will be at the Rosalie E. Wahl Library in Lake Elmo along with Pat Bettendorf, who wrote her story, on Monday, October 10th from 10:30 to 12:30. This “Meet, Greet, and Eat” event is sponsored by the Friends of Lake Elmo Library. Books will be available for sale and refreshments will be served.

 

The book tells the story of a dog, found like unwanted trash in an abandoned house, who grows up to be a therapy dog and a service dog. She is a veteran of stage plays and worked as a radio station as a co-host.

“Ruby’s Tale – A True Rags to Riches Story” won a 2011 National Indie Excellence Award and was a finalist for the 2010 Book of the Year Award.
