Off-Leash Area Garage Play Performs in Stillwater Garage

The first stop for this year’s Garage Play Tour company Off-Leash Area is in Stillwater – with The Picnic -- the story of a dog and a bird who meet in a city park and fall in love. It is a tale of a love that spans the unending cycle of the seasons.

First inspired by Japanese Anime, The Picnic features the high-energy movement and highly charged visual landscapes that are the hallmark of off-leash area’s Sage Award and Ivey Award-winning work. Performers are Jennifer Ilse, Paul Herwig and Jordan Klitzke.

Big Pink Garage, 1900 N. 2nd Street, at Willow, one mile north of downtown Stillwater. Park on 2nd or on the Schulenberg Park road. For directions, contact host Jon Skaalen, 651-336-8206, . Free refreshments afterward (barbecue Saturday at 5:00). Saturday’s show will be audio described by Ken Moses for people with vision loss. The SUNDAY show is a 2:00 matinee.
