Singer Songwriter Ann Zimmerman to Perform

Stillwater
Singer/songwriter Ann Zimmerman from Salina, KS, will perform two community concerts
on August 3 and 4 sponsored by the First United Methodist Church of Stillwater (http://www.fumcstillwater.com/) to
benefit Imagine No Malaria, a dedicated effort of the United Methodist Church
to end preventable deaths by malaria in Africa.  The
first concert will be on August 3 at 7:00 p.m. in the church’s Klaus Fellowship
Hall, located at the corner of Greeley and Myrtle Streets in Stillwater with
refreshments served at intermission.    On August 4, Ms. Zimmerman will perform an
outdoor concert at 22430 St. Croix Trail N., Scandia starting at 7:00 p.m.,
preceded by a  6:00 p.m. potluck dinner
(main dish and beverages will be provided; side dishes and desserts welcome).  Participants are encouraged to bring lawn
chairs or blankets for the concert.

A free will offering for Imagine No Malaria will be
taken at both concerts (suggested contribution $15 per adult, $25 per family,
kids free).

Ann Zimmerman (www.annzimmerman.com)
has taken her Kansas style of traditional and original, award -winning songs
across the Great Plains and beyond, to New York, Seattle, Boston, Texas and
Alaska, and now Minnesota.  Ms. Zimmerman
sings the prairie into universal language. Her music celebrates the joy,
sorrow, grandeur and silliness of life, and she backs her rich voice with
piano, guitar and the audience itself. Ann's songs tell stories and paint
portraits, brilliantly-colored and unexpected, enhanced by an irresistible
stage presence.
