Anne Greenwood Brown, author of the soon-to-be-released young adult novel, Lies Beneath (Random House), will be the featured speaker at Art Reach St. Croix’s upcoming Writers on Writing program.
Brown, a 1986 graduate of Stillwater High School, will discuss her writing and publishing journey in creating Lies Beneath—a love story that encompasses mermaids, assassins and Lake Superior—and other works. She is a member of the Minneapolis Writers Workshop, has taught writing on both the secondary and graduate levels and is a guest blogger on Writer Unboxed and The Nightstand: For Books both Sinister and Strange.
Writers on Writing is sponsored by ArtReach St. Croix’s Literary Committee. The goal is to bring authors into the community to talk about writing, publishing and the writing life. Other speakers this year have included Lorna Landvik and Michael Perry. The January 19th program will feature award-winning author Ellen Hart, author of 25 crime novels.
