Fatal Head-On Crash In Stillwater Township: Drivers Identified
The crash killed a 31-year-old Cottage Grove man.
STILLWATER TOWNSHIP, MN — The Washington County Sheriff's Office has identified the two drivers involved in a fatal head-on crash Friday. Michael Day, 31, of Cottage Grove was transported to Regions Hospital after the collision where he was pronounced dead.
Joan Hansen, 29, of Lindstrom, was also transported to Regions Hospital and is in "unknown condition," authorities said.
On July 6 just before 7:30 p.m. the Washington County Sheriff's Office received a report of a crash on Manning Ave North, about 4 miles north of Highway 36 in Stillwater Township.

The two drivers were the only people involved, according to police. Authorities have yet to detail what led up to the collision.

The Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol are investigating the cause of the crash.
