Fresh Fields Bakery and Cafe in Stillwater Closes its Doors

After serving the Stillwater area for the past eight years,  has closed.

“Due to the difficult economic times, Fresh Fields Bakery and Café has closed,” a sign on the door reads. “We are forever grateful to our employees and customers who have remained loyal throughout the past eight years. Thank you.”

David Michaud and Jennifer Swan opened Fresh Fields Bakery and Café in Valley Ridge Mall in 2004.

In addition to serving customers, Fresh Fields provided pastry and bakery items to and the in Stillwater, Hagbergs Country Market in Lake Elmo and Fresh and Natural Foods stores in Hudson, Shoreview and Plymouth.

The restaurant also supplied items to the , Manitou Station in White Bear Lake, Dellwood Golf Club and Sati Coffee in Woodbury, and Dish and Spoon Café in River Falls.
