Girl Airlifted Following Crash In Washington County
Washington County deputies found a juvenile female victim conscious and alert in a ditch with multiple injuries following a crash Saturday.
A child was hospitalized Saturday after she was struck by a vehicle in Washington County. At about 6:30 p.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting that a pedestrian had been hit by a car on 192nd Street North in Scandia, Minnesota.
Deputies arrived to find a juvenile female victim conscious and alert in the ditch, suffering from multiple injuries. She was air lifted to North Memorial Hospital.
The adult driver of the vehicle had returned to the scene. He was questioned and released, according to police.

The Minnesota State Patrol was called to reconstruct the incident. An uninvolved motorist reported that he had seen three individuals walking side by side in the roadway before the incident, according to a news release.
There are no charges pending. Washington County was assisted in responding to this incident by Forest Lake Police Department and Scandia fire and rescue.
