Girls Tennis: Stillwater Ponies Blank the Polars

The Stillwater girls tennis team improves to 4-1 on the season, 1-1 in the SEC.

It was another good day on the courts for the Stillwater girls tennis team.

The Ponies blanked their opponent for the second time in as many matches Wednesday afternoon beating North St. Paul 7-0 at Stillwater Area High School.

The Ponies started the week beating Woodbury 7-0 on Tuesday, and then hit the courts Wendesday for an Aug. 30 make-up match against the Polars.

The Ponies (4-1 overall; and 1-1 in conference play) will be back on the courts Thursday afternoon to host East Ridge.

4. Ellie Port (Stillwater) defeated Natalie Klasinski (6-1) (6-1)

Doubles:

1. Shelbey Anderson and Hannah Quinn (Stillwater) defeated Taylor Thiets and Lindsay Warner (6-0) (6-0)

2. Maggie Corman and Katie Casto (Stillwater) defeated Veronica Gadow and Kathleen Wescycke (6-0) (6-0)

3. Robbie Ellingson and Sam Finberg (Stillwater) defeated Judith Omockykwu and Elaina Morisset (6-0) (6-2)
