Karl Bremer Publishes Calendar of Performers at Duluth's Bayfront Blues Festival

Stillwater author and photographer has published a 16-month calendar featuring Bremer's images of performers at Duluth's Bayfront Blues Festival over the past two decades.

The calendar covers September 2012 through December 2013.

This is the first publication ever of a Bayfront Blues Fest calendar, which includes a mix of national and local musicians. Among the featured blues musicians are Buddy Guy, Luther Allison, Big Walter Smith, Koko Taylor, Marcia Ball, Dickey Betts, Paul Metsa and Dr. John.

"Located right on the Lake Superior shore, Bayfront Blues Fest is one of the most scenic locations on the music festival circuit," said Bremer, who has photographed 23 of the festival's 24 years. "As a result, artists tend to give some of their best performances there, and these images captured some of the best moments from many of those performances."
