Lake Elmo Public Library’s summer program will run from June 10 to August 17. It will be filled with games, programs, prizes, and author visits. Registration for elementary and junior high students will be anytime after June 10 and run throughout the summer for tracking reading time to be eligible to win prizes. Every week on Saturday a name for a Target gift card will be drawn. The more visits to the library the more chances to win. Lake Elmo Bank and Joe Park Golf @ Country Air Wedge Course have donated special gifts. Story time for preschoolers will expand to every Friday at 10:30 am.
Gorman’s Restaurant will be awarding an ice cream cone to students who have accomplished five hours of reading time. After ten hours PINZ will award a digital bookmark (Gizmo), the reader will also receive one dollar of PINZ (Z card) time for every additional hour of reading completed up to 20 hours or a total of 20 PINZ dollars of play time.
Come to the library on Wednesday, July 24 for “PowerUp 4 Kids”, meet CHOMP, play games, and challenge Lake Elmo Mayor, Mike Pearson with your Kendama tricks. All programs are on Wednesdays with a special presenter, “Aah-Some Storyteller/ Magician Extraordinaire” for the last event on August 14.
