Lake Elmo Motorcyclist Dies in Crash in St. Croix County

A 39-year-old Lake Elmo man died in a motorcycle crash in western Wisconsin this morning (March 19).

Scott J. Garavalia was riding a 2010 Kawasaki motorcycle on County Highway A just north of County Highway G in the Town of Richmond when the motorcycle left the road and went into a ditch, according to a news release from the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office.

Garavalia was ejected from the motorcycle and landed in a field. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Garavalia had been wearing a helmet, the news release states. 

The crash is under investigation, and the St. Croix County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with information about the crash or Garavalia's whereabouts before the crash to call Investigator Brent Standaert at (715) 381-4390.
