Lakes International Language Academy Celebration in Forest Lake

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

It was an honor to speak at the Lakes International Language Academy’s construction ceremony in Forest Lake on Monday. The celebration was for a new Headwaters Campus which will open this fall and serve grades 4-6.

LILA is one of the best charter schools in the nation, and we are fortunate to have them right here in our own backyard.

Also, congratulations to fifth grade LILA student Alaina Sherman for placing third in the State Charter Week Essay Contest! More than 900 students around the state competed in the contest, and Alaina should be very proud of her accomplishments.
