Laura Fredericks Named Executive Director of The Partnership Plan

The Partnership Plan announced today that former board member Laura Fredericks is the new executive director. Fredericks replaces Christine Tubbs, who recently accepted the position of executive director at Valley Outreach.

Fredericks’ work has impacted the Partnership Plan in numerous ways.

In her current capacity as Vice Chair, she has been in a lead role in a wide-variety of programs implemented by The Partnership Plan, Jeans & Jewels, the Grant Committee and the Executive Board.

Fredericks will take the position effective June 1.

Fredericks has been a long-time volunteer with the Stillwater Area School District through PTAs and levy efforts over the years.

"This is a really exciting time for The Partnership Plan as we focus on our two main events--DaVinci Fest in January and next year's Jeans and Jewels gala," Fredericks said. "These events provide funding for some great extra leaning opportunities for kids in our district."

Funds raised by The Partnership Plan go back to the schools in the forms of classroom grants, district-wide initiatives and being a part of the funding partners of the fabrications lan for the STEM initiative.

Fredericks said she is also excited that the Stair STOMP event will take place in October this year as a component of Harvest Fest.

“We are extremely excited to have Laura leading our organization into this important next chapter," Brian Gunderson, incoming Board Chair of The Partnership Plan said in a news release. "Laura is passionate about our district and our kids. Her energy and drive are contagious and I am very much looking forward to working with Laura in the years to come."

“It will be an exciting transition year for TPP in which we will continue to build on our strong foundation of community coming together and providing exceptional learning opportunities for District 834 children,” Fredericks said.

Christine Tubbs has been with The Partnership Plan for seven years, so those are "some big shoes to fill," Fredericks said.

"She has made some huge impacts with our main events at The Partnership Plan and she is helping with the transition," Fredericks said. "Going in I have a vast knowledge about the organization and a good rapport with the board members.

"It will be a smooth transition," she continued. "I'm really excited."
