Fifth and Sixth grade student imaginations went wild in "Leonardo's Basement" which recently set up shop in Afton-Lakeland's warming house. Discarded household items and electronics were deconstructed and then reconstructed by students into some really incredible and imaginative things.
Students enjoyed the opportunity to use tools and materials not normally found in classrooms and were encouraged to create inventions that serve a purpose or something that's just plain fun! The activity was organized by Principal Tom Hobert with the assistance of Afton-Lakeland parent, Sara Kubiak.
