Local Photojournalist's Work is on Display at the Stillwater Library

Throughout August, the Stillwater Public Library Gallery is hosting Reflecting the Essence, a show of photographs by St. Croix Valley Photojournalist Michele Hermansen.  

Hermansen has two collections showing in the gallery, a rodeo shot at the Miles City Bucking Horse Sale and images she captured during her eight trips to Africa in the last six years.

The rodeo photos in this collection are of the Miles City Bucking Horse Sale. From the school-age locals to the weathered PRCA cowboys, each rider gives their all, paired with an animal that seems to be competing for a Toughest, Best Show award.  

The photos from her Africa collection that are being showcased at the library are all images taken in Tanzania.
