Man Dies in Forest Lake Community Pool

A man has died after becoming unresponsive in a local pool.

On Oct, 4 at 2:52 p.m., the Forest Lake Police Department, Forest Lake Fire and Rescue, and North Memorial Ambulance were called to Southwest Junior High for a possible drowning in the community pool located within the school.

Emergency personnel arrived and took over resuscitation efforts from school staff who were on scene.

A 74-year-old male from Stacy, Minnesota, had been removed from the pool by staff and was unresponsive. Efforts to revive the victim were not successful.

Investigation efforts are currently being handled by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.
