SWAT Called To Forest Lake Home, Man Dies Of 'Medical' Issue
When officers arrived at the home, they confronted by a man who pointed a "long gun" at them, authorities said.

FOREST LAKE, MN — Authorities say a man died of an apparent medical incident after police were called to a house in Forest Lake Monday. On July 9 just before 11:30 a.m., officers were called to an address in the 23100 block of Hilo Avenue North on a report of a domestic incident.
Upon arrival, police were confronted by a man who pointed a "long gun" at officers, authorities said.
Officers took up a perimeter and secured the suspect’s home. Washington County SWAT was notified and responded. Several attempts were made to negotiate with the suspect inside the home, according to investigators.

Eventually, SWAT entered through the front door and found a man lying in the entryway. He appeared to have suffered a medical event, police said.
SWAT medics and North Memorial ambulance personnel attempted rescue efforts on the man, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

No officers were injured during the operation.
