Buffalo Man, 36, Dies In Tractor Crash In Washington County

The fatal crash in Hugo involved a tractor-trailer and a front-end loader, authorities said.

HUGO, MN — One man died Wednesday morning in a crash involving farm vehicles in the east Twin Cities metro. On Dec. 13 at about 8:40 a.m., the Washington County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a car crash involving a tractor-trailer and a front-end loader near the 14600 block of Irish Avenue in the Hugo.

When they arrived, deputies found a man suffering critical injuries. "Lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful," authorities said in a news release, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene. He has since been identified as Aaron David Reich, 36, Buffalo, Minnesota.

Authorities did not state which vehicle Reich was in at the time of the crash. The Washington County Sheriff's Office told Patch it could not provide additional information on the crash at this time.

The Washington County Sheriff’s Office, with the assistance of the Minnesota State Patrol and the Ramsey County Medical Examiner, is investigating the collision.
