Man Wearing Halloween Mask Kidnapped 21-Year-Old, Held Him for Ransom: Charges
A man wore a Halloween mask while kidnapping another a 21-year-old male at gunpoint in northern Minnesota, according to charges.

A man wore a Halloween mask while kidnapping a 21-year-old male at gunpoint in northern Minnesota, according to charges filed Wednesday. Kyle Martin Olson, 28, faces kidnapping and second degree assault charges.
On Nov. 26 and about 8:28 a.m., the St. Louis County Sheriff's Office and the Chisholm Police Department responded to the 100 block of 6th Street SW in Chisholm, Minnesota, on a report of "unknown trouble." While responding, law enforcement officers learned that a 21-year-old male was allegedly being held at gunpoint against his will.
Law enforcement officers eventually were able to secure the victim and detained 4 individuals on the property, according to a news release. It was later learned that the 21-year-old-male had been taken out of a vehicle at gunpoint near the intersection of Highway 7 and Iron Junction Road around the previous evening by a male wearing a Halloween mask.

The victim was transported a short distance away and the suspect fired one shot from the handgun to threaten the victim further. The victim was eventually transported to an address in Chisholm and made phone calls to attempt to secure his release for a predetermined amount of cash, according to authorities.
Kyle Martin Olson was subsequently arrested at the scene in Chisholm.
