Stillwater community service police officers and firefighters pulled five ducklings from a sewer drain on Second Street North near Linden Street.
Three Stillwater community service officers and two firefighters rescued five ducklings from a sewer drain on Second Street North near Linden Street Thursday afternoon.
After about 10 minutes, Community Service Officer Brad Junker pulled the fifth duckling out to safety.
This was the first time this spring police and fire were called to rescue ducks from the sewers.

"We were waiting for this call," said Community Service Officer Dennis Pasket. "It won't be the last time."
Police set the ducklings out for their mother to find.

"Normally, when we set them out the mother will find them," Pasket said.
