Next week: Programs for new kindergarteners and young scientists at the library

"Next Step: Kindergarten" Storytime
Once again, the library will offer a special storytime for kids entering kindergarten in September. We'll share stories and poems, sing songs, and make a keepsake. Choose to attend either Monday, August 19, 6:30 p.m., or Tuesday, August 27, 10:30 a.m. The session runs approximately 45 minutes, and is held in the Children's Storytime Room. No sign up necessary.

Preschoolers Explore S.T.E.M. "Forces of Nature"!
Preschoolers are invited to investigate the forces of nature in a special early literacy program on Tuesday, August 20, at 1:00 p.m. Registration is required, either online through the events calendar, or by calling 651-275-4338, ext. 111. For chilldren aged 3 to 6 years. Come for some hands on experiences that explore the world of science. (S.T.E.M. = Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math)

For the STEM program, think bubbles (air pressure), UV color changing beads (the sun), super strong magnets (magnetism), and diaper experiments (absorption). Fun times!
