Patch Picks: Mother's Day Brunch Buffets

StoneRidge Golf Club

Want to try someplace new for Mother's Day brunch? Check out Danny's Bar and Grill at . The course's newly renovated restaurant space is a great spot to enjoy a meal before or after a round of golf—and in our opinion, an impressive Mother's Day brunch buffet. This buffet will have all the usual suspects: caramel rolls, fresh fruit, veggies, cheese, muffins and pastries, as well as cheesy scrambled eggs, shredded hash browns, sausage and french toast. They will also be serving a variety of salads—including an Italian salad, smoked salmon and peppers salad and iced shrimp cocktail. The chefs will also be carving up roast beef, serving brown sugar glazed ham and swiss potatoes, honey thyme-seared Atlantic salmon with saffron vegetable rice pilaf and seared champagne chicken with penne alfredo.

Brunch at StoneRidge Golf Club starts at 9 a.m. and runs until 3 p.m. and costs $24.95 for adults and $9.95 for kids ages 4-12. For reservations call 651-436-4653. 

Gausthaus Babarian Hunter

will be serving up a bountiful buffet with a strolling accordion player and all. The chefs will only serve buffet options and the restaurant will close after the buffet. So if you're in the mood for some authentic, award-winning German cuisine with "Old-World hospitality" stop in to the Gausthaus.

Brunch Gausthaus Babarian Hunter starts at 11 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m. Cost is $13.95 for adults and $5.95 for children ages 5-10. For reservations call 651-439-7128.

Water Street Inn

The will be hosting a lavish Mother's Day buffet. The spread will feature: seasonal fruit displays, cheese trays, pastries, muffins, rolls, smoked salmon, marinated grilled veggies and antipasto trays and salads. The Water Street Inn buffet will also have breakfast and dinner selections such as: seasoned scrambled eggs, cinnamon glazed french toast, country style bacon and kielbasa sausage, pork loin with gravy served over homemade stuffing, turkey and cranberry sauce, shrimp scampi with linguini, mostacholi with sausage, sweet potato casserole, wild rice with sun-dried tomatoes and mushrooms, not to mention hand-carved, roasted ham and slow roasted prime rib and dessert selections. A children's buffet will also feature chicken fingers, fries, mac and cheese, mozzarella sticks, Jell-O, applesauce and more.

The Water Street Inn Mother's Day buffet starts at 10 a.m. runs until 4 p.m. and costs $22.95 for adults and $11.95 for children under 12. Reservations are recommended by calling 651-439-6000.

Lowell Inn

The historic will once again be taking reservations for their famous Mother's Day buffet. The Lowell Inn will have fresh fruit, bread baskets, assorted mini desserts and will serve breakfast with the first seating of the buffet, which will include eggs, bacon, sausage and country potatoes. The Lowell Inn will also be serving (but not limited to): slow roasted New York strip loin, chicken breast cordon bleu, grilled salmon with cucumber dill relish, country strata with hollandaise, cream of mushroom soup, mashed potatoes, veggies, Lowell Inn's special red cabbage and a variety of salads.

The buffet starts at 10 a.m. and goes until 5 p.m. and costs $19.95 for adults and $12.95 for children 4-12. Seatings are by reservation only, so call 651-439-1440 or 651-439-1100.

Andiamo Riverboat

For those looking to spoil mom with a white linen buffet on the St. Croix River you will want to check out the Andiamo Riverboat on Mother's Day. This unique way to brunch, lunch or dine will feature three boat tours with impressive food spreads and live music by the Emperors of Jazz. The brunch cruise will feature: scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage, lemon cranberry chicken, creamy has brown potatoes, fresh fruit, salads, assorted pastries and muffins and juice. The lunch and dinner cruises will offer: lemon cranberry chicken, pot roast of beef with mushroom cherry demi, baked cod, broccoli salad, mashed potatoes, fresh fruit, salads, rolls, bars and cookies.

The Andiamo Riverboat brunch cruise is from 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. and costs $19.95. The lunch cruise is from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and the dinner cruise is from 4:30 to 7 p.m. All cruises cost $19.95. For reservations call 651-430-1234.
