Pole Barn Collapses In Washington County: 3 Men Injured
The trusses of the barn fell and pinned the men Monday afternoon.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, MN — Three construction workers were injured Monday when the pole barn they were building in Scandia collapsed on them. The incident happened at about 4:50 p.m., WCCO reported.
Authorities say the men were adding trusses to the structure on the 19000 block of Olinda Trail North when they noticed “a sway or a bend in the trusses,” according to the Pioneer Press. While the men worked to straighten the trusses they snapped and the barn collapsed.
Between 13 to 15 trusses fell and pinned the men, police said. Brandon Olson freed himself and unsuccessfully attempted to lift trusses off the other two men using a forklift. Scandia emergency responders used chainsaws to cut through the rubble.
