Stillwater Police: Group of Women Attack Bar Patron, Scratch, Pull Her Friend's Hair
A 25-year-old Afton woman told police that after leaving a restaurant in downtown Stillwater last month, a woman punched her in the eye, and after he fell to the ground, a group of women attacked.

A 25-year-old Afton woman told police she was assaulted by a group of women last month after leaving Smalleyβs Caribbean Barbeque in downtown Stillwater.
The woman reported that after leaving the barβwith her boyfriend and a 22-year-old Forest Lake womanβat about 12:30 a.m. Sept. 21, she was punched in the eye, and after she fell to the ground, several other women jumped in and attacked.

Just prior to the Afton woman leaving the bar, someone she is βfamiliar withβ told her several times to stay at Smalleyβsβessentially warning that if she left, she may be harmed.
As it turns out, that woman was right.

According to police, the woman left the bar with two friends shortly there after.
In the alley behind Smalleyβs, the woman was approached by a group of womenβone of which reportedly came at her βat a rapid paceβ and punched her in the eye. The Afton woman fell to the ground, when several other women reportedly jumped in and began hitting and kicking her.
As the Afton womanβs two friends attempted to jump in to break up the fight, the group of women scratched her boyfriend and pulled the Forest Lake womanβs hair, the report states. The Afton woman had a black eye, bruises on her knee and thigh, and a sprained ankle as a result of the assault.
The suspects are unknown to police at this time. The assault remains under investigation.
