Proactive Parenting Support Group
A place for current or prospective adoptive parents and those who provide foster care to encourage one another.
The Proactive Parenting Support Group (formerly, Therapeutic Support Group) is a place for current or prospective adoptive parents and those who provide foster care to encourage one another through community, education, and common understanding. The group is moderated by two psychologists and topics vary by week. Pre-registration is preferred, but not required. Childcare and/or youth activities may be available, however we must be notified if childcare is necessary. For more information, see our Proactive Parenting Support Group flyer.
Who Should Attend: This group is open to the public.
Cost: Free for current or former EVOLVE, Crossroads, or HOPE clients; $10 for non-clients
Disclosure: By participating in the Proactive Parenting Support Group, you are agreeing to the following: “The information I share in this group will remain confidential, with some limited exceptions. If EVOLVE staff or the facilitators of the group reasonably suspect that a child or vulnerable adult is a victim of abuse or neglect, or a pregnant woman is using alcohol or controlled substances, we are required by law to disclose private information which identifies you to a public authority.”
