Al-Hameed ran for his second touchdown of the game, and the Royals took a 12-6 lead into halftime. Again, the Royals failed to convert the extra point.

The Ponies came out in the second half and running back Nick Anderson scored on back-to-back drives, putting the Ponies up 20-12.

The Royals answered with Al-Hameed’s third touchdown of the game, but failed the two-point conversion.

The Ponies defense held off the Royals fourth quarter drive.

With just a few seconds left on the clock, Woodbury kicker Colton Johnson lined up for 29-yard field goal, and a chance to win the game.

But the Ponies defense came up big, tipping his field goal attempt that fell just short of the crossbar.

The Ponies home opener is next Friday against White Bear Lake.
