Report: Crash Snarls Monday Evening Commute Across the Stillwater Lift Bridge

A crash on the Wisconsin approach to the Stillwater Lift Bridge created a long traffic jam for Monday evening river crossing commuters.

The St. Croix County Sheriff's Office asked for assistance from Washington County deputies shortly after 4:12 p.m. Monday for a possible head-on crash with injuries, according to Twin Cities Incident Report. Airbags in both vehicles reportedly deployed.

The crash also backed traffic up through downtown Hudson on Highway 35.

There were minor injuries as a result of the crash, a St. Croix County Sheriff's Office spokesperson said Tuesday morning. The details of the crash were not yet available.
