Restrooms, Pedestrian Plaza Finally Complete in Downtown Stillwater
After repeated delays due to rain and hot weather, the public restrooms and Pedestrian Plaza in downtown Stillwater are finally complete.
With the exception of some “clean-up work” around the Pedestrian Plaza, construction of the downtown project is finally complete.
City officials had hoped the project was going to be done before the Fourth of July, but weather caused delays.
But as it stands, the 716-square-foot building, next door to is complete. The building has three men’s stalls, three women's stalls and a family stall.

A kiosk will eventually be installed where there is currently a dirt patch, City Planner Mike Pogge said. The men’s and women’s restrooms are open, but the city is still waiting for lockable door hardware to be delivered and installed before the family restroom is open to the public.
“Construction is a really hard thing for businesses, but the downtown business owners have been really accommodating throughout this entire process,” Pogge said. “They’ve been great, and that is truly appreciated.”
