Ring Valued at $25K Reported Stolen from Vehicle Parked Overnight in Stillwater
An Inver Grove Heights woman told police a ring her grandmother made for her, valued at about $25,000, was stolen from a vehicle parked overnight in the 2600 block of Hawthorne Lane.

A ring valued at about $25,000 was reported stolen from a vehicle last week in the 2600 block of Hawthorne Lane.
An Inver Grove Heights woman told Stillwater police that a ring that her grandmother had made βsome time ago while in Europeβ was stolen April 25 from her vehicle while it was parked in front of her boyfriendβs home on Hawthorne Lane.
The woman told police the ring was given to her two days before it was stolen.

She describes the ring as a yellow, 14-karat gold ring with a 7-karat garnet birthstone as the center piece. The ring also has a series of baggot stones around the centerpiece that total about 1-karat, the report states.Β
The woman told police she is βvery consistent and almost fanaticalβ about locking her car doors, and is βalmost convincedβ the doors were locked that night.

However, when she went to her vehicle the next morning, she noticed the door was unlocked, the report states. The ring her grandmother had made, a 160-gig iPod and earrings were missing.
The woman told police there were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle.
The case is currently under investigation.
