Student mechanics needed for high school mountain bike team

The SAHS Mountain Bike Team is looking for Equipment Manager Trainees for the 2016-17 season. We are looking for students currently 9th or 10th grade as training will occur this spring.

This exciting sport is heavily reliant on equipment. The Equipment Manager is a volunteer Varsity Lettering position. We are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Consequently, your volunteer work will look great on college applications! As Equipment Manager, you will be in a position to support the team in a non-racing capacity. You will receive training in the field of bicycle mechanics and bicycle race support from Team Director Calvin Jones, a licensed race mechanic with Olympic and World Championship cycling work experience. Additionally, you will work under our two current Equipment Managers, both trained by the team and both with bike shop experience.

New equipment managers will begin technical training in March one afternoon a week. There will be opportunities for practice and duties during the summer break.
