Savories European Bistro Will Close Oct. 16 After 20 Years on Main Street

will be closing its doors Oct. 16 in downtown Stillwater.

The Pioneer Press first broke the news, reporting that the beloved European Bistro lost its lease.

That news was followed by a Facebook post on the Savories page that states: “We thank our amazing crew, our loyal fans and customers and our family and friends who have supported us for so many wonderful years. Don't fret! We are already searching for new opportunities (and ready for almost anything!) So keep watching here on Facebook to see where we end up. Love to all.”

Savories Facebook page has been flooded with well-wishes from customers since the news of the impending closing.

In response, Savories states: “We are already looking towards the future ... and our friends must be there- wherever we land. We will be posting here to keep in touch with everyone. I hope we will see our friends and fans one last time this week - but rest assured, you haven't seen the last of the Savories gang!”

Kristen Klemetsrud told the Pioneer Press that she and her husband plan on continuing to cater, and will be working on a Savories cookbook, starting a food blog, pursuing a travel business and volunteering more for the nonprofit pilot program .
