UPDATED: Hudson Woman in Critical Condition After Head-On Crash on Highway 95

The Minnesota State Patrol is reporting that alcohol as detected on both drivers. Highway 95 was closed in both directions for about two hours following the crash.

Alcohol is believed to have played a role in a head-on crash on Highway 95 in Stillwater Friday night that left a 23-year-old Hudson woman is in critical condition.

In all, four people were transported to Regions Hospital, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. The injuries to three of those people are not believed to be life-threatening.

Gavin J. Langer, 28, of Sheboygan, Wis., was traveling southbound on Highway 95 in a 2002 Pontiac Grand Am at about 8:53 p.m.when he crossed the center lane and struck a 2003 Audi Quatro driven by John P. Hartmon, 24, of Hudson, Wis., according to the state patrol.

Alcohol was detected on both drivers, according to the state patrol. Langer and Hartmon were each transported to Regions Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Corie M. Erickson, a passenger in Hartmon’s vehicle, was taken to Regions Hospital where she is currently in critical condition, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. A second passenger in Hartmon’s vehicle, Paul J Oman, 26, of New Richmond, Wis., was also transported to Regions Hospital with non life-threatening injuries, the crash report states.

The Stillwater, Bayport and Oak Park Heights police departments assisted the state patrol on the scene. Stillwater and Mahtomedi fire departments were also called to the scene.

The crash shut down Highway 95 at Nelson Street for about two hours Friday night. The crash remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.

The Minnesota State Patrol is on the scene of a head-on,  two-car crash with serious injuries on Highway 95 at Nelson Street in Stillwater, according to the Minnesota State Patrol website.

Alcohol was involved in the crash, according to Lt. Eric Roeske of the Minnesota State Patrol.

The crash was reported at 8:53 p.m., according to the incident report.

Twin Cities Incident Page is reporting that that extrication was needed and that two people were in critical condition.
