To celebrate 25 years of living with llamas, Britt and Sheila Fugina are hosting a special open house Saturday and Sunday, October 5-6, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The event will offer drawings for free prizes, including a top prize of a llama picnic hike for four people. Because they breed for premium fiber, the open house will emphasize their wide range of fiber products and will feature fiber artists demonstrating their crafts. Visitors can take a llama for a walk through a short obstacle course, so bring your cameras. Shady Ridge Farm is 10 miles east of Hudson at 1331 130th Avenue, New Richmond.
