Sheriff's Office Identifies Oak Park Heights Man Killed in Lake Elmo Crash

The Washington County Sheriff's Office has identified the Oak Park Heights man involved in a fatal crash in Lake Elmo Wednesday morning. Details of the crash remain under investigation.

The has identified the Wednesday morning as Nicholas Joseph Taube.

Taube, 22, died in a single-car crash at the 3000 block of Lake Elmo Avenue North early Wednesday morning. The Washington County Sheriff’s Office got the call about the crash at about 3:12 a.m.

Taube was thrown from the vehicle, according to a release from the sheriff’s office. The crash remains under investigation.

Taube’s funeral is planned for Monday at in Stillwater. Visitation is at 10 a.m., and mass will follow at 11 a.m.
