In 2011, 3,506 babies were born to teen mothers in the state of Minnesota alone. High school students are taught that the only way to avoid sexually transmitted diseases and teen pregnancy is abstinence, but they aren’t taught how and why to make such a commitment. The Silver Ring Thing presents a night of performance, testimonials, music and videos. They demonstrate how this generation has taken a stand against “one night stands”, unplanned pregnancies and the lie that no strings are attached.
Sunday, November 2, 2014, 6-8:30 pm, Forest Lake Area High School Auditorium.
