Singers wanted for The River City Chorale

Singer Registration NOW open for The River City Chorale

The River City Chorale begins 7th Season Monday, May 18th

Andrew Haase, artistic director and conductor of The River City Chorale, is looking for singers interested in participating in the organization’s 7th season. The Chorale will rehearse on Mondays from 7-9pm and will begin rehearsal on Monday, May 18th. Performances are scheduled for Monday, July 20th, 7:00pm at Hudson High School, Monday, July 27th, 7:00pm at Como Park in St. Paul and Thursday, July 30th 7:00pm at the Bandshell in downtown Hudson. Beginning the week of July 1st rehearsals will take place on Mondays and Wednesday from 7-9pm. There will be no rehearsal on Memorial Day.

Registration will take place on-line. Singers are asked to visit: www.therivercitychorale.com to register and reserve music. Singers will be able to pick up their music and pay their $35 dues on Thursday, May 14th from 6-8pm at the First Presbyterian Church, 1901 Vine Street in Hudson.

The First Presbyterian Church is also the location for all chorale rehearsals.

The River City Chorale is open to all singers interested in performing challenging, fun and rewarding choral literature. There is no audition process for this ensemble, however previous singing experience is recommended. Previous singing experience may include participating in high school, collegiate, church or community choirs.

The choir will be lead by accompanist Jodell Krause and conductor Andrew Haase. Haase is the Director of Choral Activities at Hudson High School in Hudson, WI, a position he has held since 2001. Haase conducts the Concert Choir, Chamber Choir, Exultate, Men’s Ensemble and serves as Music Director for the annual Musical. Haase received his Bachelor of Arts degree in vocal music education at Luther College in Decorah, Iowa, and a Master of Music degree in Conducting and Choral Literature from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, AZ.
