Gear Daddies, Smash Mouth to Headline Lumberjack Days
The Gear Daddies and Smash Mouth will co-headline Saturday at Lumberjack Days.
The Gear Daddies will be making their only Twin Cities appearance this year on Saturday of Lumberjack Days to co-headline with Smash Mouth.
Dave Eckberg acknowledged the late musical announcement to the Lumberjack Days lineup Wednesday afternoon explaining that he had been in talks with a different musical act to headline the festival for the last 10 weeks, which fell through.
"Then we had to reset and do the deal," he said. "But we're real pleased (with Smash Mouth and the Gear Daddies). It's as good, if not better than it was before."

The other acts will be Hairball on Thursday. Collective Soul on Friday and Zed Leppelin on Sunday.
Tickets for the concerts are now available at the Lumberjack Days website. New to Lumberjack Days this year is a VIP boat that will be in the same place the floating stage has been in years past.

The VIP boat will open at 6pm each day of the event and food and drinks will be included in the cost of the ticket. VIP boat packages for Thursday and Sunday will cost $75 each, while Friday and Saturday night VIP boat packages will cost $100 each night.
"This year's event will once again be family-friendly," Eckberg said. "It will be a wonderful way to spend four days with something for everyone."
From Hairball to Collective Soul, the Gear Daddies and Smash Mouth to Zed Leppelin there's a little something for everyone's musical taste.
