Sports Roundup: Ponies Cross Country Teams Run In Milaca Mega Meet
Stillwater boys win top division, girls take sixth on picturesque Saturday.

The Stillwater cross-country teams competed in the large, annual Milaca Mega Meet on Saturday, with the Ponies boys coming away with a top-division victory.
Cross-Country
Wayde Hall, Eric Colvin and Tom Linner finished 1-2-3 individually as the Stillwater boys cross-country team ran away with the AAAA Division at Milaca.

Following Hall's winning time of 16 minutes, 2.3 seconds over the five-kilometer course, Colvin ran a 16:08.6 and Linner crossed the line in 16:08.7, before Tayler Arness took seventh in 16:25.9 and Sean Bjork placed 11th in 16:38.9 to round out the Ponies' scoring.
Abby Lange's sixth-place individual finish in a 4K time of 15:12.1 paced the Stillwater girls to a sixth-place team result.

Volleyball
The Stillwater volleyball team won its eighth-straight match with a 3-1 defeat of visiting Woodbury on Tuesday to improve to 8-6 overall and 5-0 in the Suburban East Conference.
The Ponies are among three teams, including Mounds View and Cretin-Derham Hall, still unbeaten in conference play.
Savannah Sprenger's 103 kills and 16 service aces lead the team, as do Susan Evans' 240 assists and Maddie Brandon's 245 digs.
Boys Soccer
A 2-0 win over visiting Forest Lake improved the third-ranked Stillwater boys soccer team to 11-2 overall and an SEC-best 6-0.
Patrick Roth continues to lead the Ponies with 10 goals and 12 points, with Roma Devine and Eli Bjerk tied for the team assist lead with six each.
Girls Soccer
The Stillwater girls soccer team improved to 6-5-2 overall and 2-3-1 in the SEC with a 9-1 defeat of Forest Lake on Tuesday. Katie Holder took over sole possession of the team scoring lead with five goals against the Rangers, giving her 10 for the season.
