Squire House Gardens Hosts 18th Annual Valentine's Concert
On Saturday, February 14th bring your sweetie to this annual event in Afton featuring musical guests Jennifer Grimm and Joe Cruz.
Squire House Gardens announces its annual Valentine’s Concert scheduled for Saturday, February 14th with seatings at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Guests will relax in a cozy Victorian parlor room, located upstairs from Squire House Gardens, and be treated to live jazz and classic American songs, poetic readings, romantic musings, and complimentary refreshments.
“Remarkably, this fond event is an 18-year tradition here in Afton,” said Martin Stern, owner of Squire House Gardens. “Our Valentine’s Concert is sure to warm your heart with a passionate performance of jazz standards, originals, R & B and a bit of reggae thrown in the mix.”
Tickets for the event cost $32 and are available by calling 651-436-8080 or emailing at info@squirehousegardens.com. Seating is limited, so advanced registration is required. Tickets are available for the 9 p.m. show (only). The first show at 7 p.m. is sold out.

2015 Concert performers include:
* Jennifer Grimm (singer) – Jennifer amazes audiences with her sultry and sublime vocals and has appeared on stages locally and abroad with such names as Garrison Keillor, Debbie Duncan, Michael Buble’ and Martina McBride. Jennifer makes her home in the Twin Cities, where in addition to performing live, she works as a voiceover artist and is the singing/speaking voice for many popular national brands.

* Joe Cruz (instrumentals) – Joe is regarded as one of the most versatile and energetic multi-stringed instrumentalists on the Twin Cities music scene today. Throughout his 30-year career, this passionate musician has been involved with numerous groups and recording projects, developing a vast array of styles. Joe is also an accomplished songwriter with an extensive repertoire of original song and instrumental compositions that are timelessly entertaining.
Squire House Gardens is located at 3390 St. Croix Trail South in an 1875 historic home in the heart of the village of Afton, MN. To visit, go 20 miles east of the Twin Cities on I-94 to Exit 258 and go south 4.7 miles. Winter Gift Shop Hours are Thursday to Saturday 11 to 5, and Sundays 12 to 5.
