St. Croix River Rises To Slow No-Wake Speed

The St. Croix River level at Stillwater was 683.23' and rising as of 2 p.m. and is expected to stay remain that way for at least a week.

The entire St. Croix River from Taylors Falls to Prescott is currently in a no-wake zone for boaters.

Slow no-wake speed is only the minimum speed needed to maintain steerage of a watercraft, according to the Washington County Sheriff's Office. Enforcement boats from the Washington County, St Croix County, and Pierce County sheriff's offices, as well as the Minnesota and Wisconsin DNR’s and the National Park Service will be out enforcing this slow no-wake restriction.
