Photos: Stillwater Arrest Leads to Seizure of More than 100 Pounds of Drugs

Authorities found more than 100 pounds of suspected marijuana in a storage unit in Wisconsin.

A Stillwater man has been charged in connection to the discovery and seizure of more than 100 pounds of suspected marijuana that was located in a Houlton, Wisconsin, storage unit.

St. Croix County authorities called the discovery one of the largest drug seizures they've seen.

The Pioneer Press reported that 129 packages of drugs, each weighing about one pound, were found Sept. 8 when authorities from Minnesota and Wisconsin used a search warrant at Badger State Storage in Houlton.

The Duluth News Tribune reported that the warrant was served after investigators arrested 44-year-old Karl Heinrichs, of Stillwater, and recovered a key he had that opened the storage unit.

Heinrichs was charged Sept. 9 in St. Croix County Circuit Court with felony THC possession and intent to deliver.
