Stillwater Assistant Principal Bill Howlett Dies

The Stillwater Area Public Schools (SAPS) community is suffering the loss of beloved high school assistant principal, Bill Howlett. School officials say Howlett passed away Sunday morning after "a heroic battle with cancer."

In late December 2016, community members braved extremely cold weather to sing carols and send their warm wishes to Howlett outside his hospice home.

"Our thoughts are with Bill’s family members, many colleagues and friends here in the district, as well as the students and families he has impacted throughout his career," SAPS said on Facebook. "Bill will be greatly missed."
