The Ponies have played hard all season long to secure home field throughout the playoffs.
Well, they’ve got it, and now the Ponies Touchdown Club is mobilizing in an attempt to make sure Friday night’s game at Pony Stadium creates an advantageous atmosphere for the local gridironers.
The Ponies play Rosemount on Friday night. The winner will advance to the dome to play in the AAAAAA state tournament. Kickoff is 7 p.m.

Rosemount has a fan base that travels well, and rumor has it, the visitors have organized five busloads of fans to attend the game.
So the Ponies Touchdown Club is capitalizing on the popularity of the Homecoming video “Parting of the Red Sea” by encouraging fans to become a part of the "Sea of Red."

“We need to pack Pony Stadium in red and drown out the cheers of our opponents,” Chris Freichels of the football boosters said.
In an effort to get fans through the gates quickly, school officials are asking that no bags or backpacks be brought in to Pony Stadium. School officials and police officers will be searching bags, purses and backpacks.
Another change to policy is there will not be a Ponies Touchdown Club exact change pass gate available on Friday night for the Rosemount game.
To avoid waiting in line, fans are being encouraged to purchase tickets ahead of time at the athletic office.
Tickets cost $8 for adults and $6 for students. Pre-Sale tickets available at the Stillwater Area High School Activities Office Wednesday, Oct. 31 and Thursday, Nov. 1 from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
