Stillwater Fourth, Seventh In State True Team Meet
Ponies boys and girls squads host, compete in 25th-annual competition on a damp Friday evening.
The Stillwater boys and girls track and field teams hosted and competed in the 25th-annual state True Team meet on a moist Friday evening at Pony Stadium.
Dodging raindrops for much of the afternoon, the Ponies boys took fourth in their competition with 745.5 points as the girls came in seventh in their contest with 603 points.
The "True Team" concept assigns a point value to every competitor in each event, thereby rewarding a deeper team rather than a squad with a handful of elite athletes.
