Stillwater Girl, 14, Struck By Semi While Riding Bike
The girl was pinned underneath the truck, authorities said.

LAKE ELMO, MN — A Stillwater teen is expected to survive after she was struck by a semi at an intersection while riding her bicycle Monday.
Just before 9:30 a.m. July 9, the Washington County Sheriff's Office, Lake Elmo fire and police responded to a report of a crash at Lake Elmo Avenue and 50th Street North.
Deputies learned that a 14-year-girl was riding west on 50th Street North at Lake Elmo Avenue when she was hit by a semi going northbound on Lake Elmo Avenue.

Both the truck and rider went into the ditch, with the truck tire resting on the girl's leg. Emergency responders freed the girl from underneath the truck and she was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The collision remains under investigation by the Washington County Sheriff's Office and the Minnesota State Patrol.
