Junior Claire Rutscher had a third-place and a fourth to pace the Stillwater High girls in the 2011 MSHSL Class AA state swimming and diving meet Saturday.
Held in the University of Minnesota Aquatic Center, Edina repeated as Class AA team champions with 316 points. Minnetonka was second with 188, Stillwater third with 171, Eden Prairie fourth with 165 and Rochester John Marshall fifth with 141.
As usual, Stillwater's team depth paid big dividends in the team race Saturday. The Ponies scored points in all 12 events. Stillwater won Class AA titles in 2005, 2006, 2008, 2009 and were third last season.

Rutscher was third in the 100-yard freestyle in 52.15 and fourth in the 100-yard backstroke in 57.21.
Stillwater opened the meet with a fourth-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay. The team of Rutscher, Kristin Erf, Mady Gockowski and Sophia Bisch finished in a time of 1:47.84.

The Ponies were 10th in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:39.75) with the team of Kylie Burgess, Summer Olson, Gockowski and Erf. Stillwater's team of Burgess, Bisch, Mary Knaak and Rutscher placed eighth in the 400-freestyle relay (3:34.71).
Mary Knaak was fifth (5:04.67) and Burgess seventh (5:10.02) in the 500-yard freestyle. Burgess was also ninth in the 200-yard freestyle in 1:54.18.
Erf was seventh (1:06.60) in the 100-yard breaststroke and 12th (58.80) in the 100-yard butterfly.
Gockowski was 10th (1:06.73) in the 100-yard breaststroke and 14th (2:10.65) in the 200-yard IM. Bisch finished 11th (24.46) in the 50-yard freestyle, Anna Percival was 16th in the diving (309.90) and Olson was 12th (1:07.33) in the breaststroke.
