Stillwater High School Student Returns From Philly After Competing In BioGENEius Challenge!

Stillwater Area High School Junior Max Ylitalo was recently named one of the 28 finalists for the BioGENEius Challenge, the premier competition for high school students – from across the world – that recognizes outstanding research in biotechnology .

He headed to Philly to compete in the International BioGENEIUS Challenge at BIO 2015, the international convention for the biotech industry, to showcase his research on a method that paves the way for using recycled waste to generate energy by converting waste paper to bioethanol.
