UPDATED: Three Minneapolis Women Charged with Felony Theft Following Black Friday Theft in Stillwater
A group of 12-15 people allegedly caused a ruckus at Target and Wal-Mart stores on Black Friday while others pushed thousands of dollars worth of merchandise out the door and into their vehicles.

Three Minneapolis women were charged with felony theft charges Tuesday for their roles in an alleged scheme that played out Black Friday at in Stillwater.
Chantal Jenkins, 26, Candice Jones, 24, and Cynthia Maxwell, 42, all of Minneapolis were each charged with theft of more than $1,800 worth of merchandise from Target.
Detectives believe the theft ring may have involved more than a dozen peopleβand included other Target stores in Coon Rapids, Vadnais Heights and several other metro-area locations. The group may have also stolen merchandise from various stores, including the Oak Park Heights location.

According to police, a group of 12-15 people walked into Target and split up into small groups throughout the store, acting obnoxiously, cussing and causing disturbances while others walked out of the store pushing carts full of merchandise, totaling about $2,200.
After the group left the store, several people started loading three vehicles up with the unpaid merchandise while one woman argued with a store manager, the police report states. The vehicles then left the parking lot traveling toward Stillwater Boulevard.

Shortly after the disturbance, police located and stopped a tan van matching the description of one of the suspected vehicles on Highway 36 near Keats Avenue for suspicion of felony theft.
Police located several items that were reported stolen from Target in the vehicle, the report states. Police believe the group carried out the same scheme across Highway 36 at Wal-Martβwhere they made off with more than $1,000 in merchandiseβshortly before heading to Target.
The three women were arrested on suspicion of felony theft as a result of the traffic stop. Maxwell's two teenager daughters, ages 16 and 17, were transported to the Stillwater Police Department and released to a family member.
According to court records, Maxwell has an extensive criminal history including more than 20 theft charges and a handful of giving false information to police arrests in the last 10 years.Β
